Professional Experience and Leadership

Dr. Long has guided innovation in online learning as Director of Distance Learning and Instructional Design, Associate Provost for Administration and Extended Education, curriculum leader, faculty developer, and consultant to universities, policy institutes, and national organizations.

Her research reflects a lifelong commitment to educational equity, diasporic cultural history, and global learning communities, informed by her travels to more than two hundred port cities worldwide.

Dr. Long leads the Bahari School of Ministry with a vision grounded in community service, diasporic cultural understanding, critical thinking, integration of the arts, and research and analysis, preparing learners to serve with knowledge, purpose, and integrity.
